Oh Boy, Big Bed

Well now we're in trouble. Based on our first few tests of putting Devin in a toddler bed (crib conversion) we decided we'd wait until AFTER baby girl was born. The last pediatrician also advised that 18 months was too early for him.

Wrong! He climbed out of the crib Monday with a loud thud - thankfully barely any tears. He's a solid baby, not much seems to phase him. Even so, that's the end of the crib. You can see he's rather excited about that.



The only problem: he has no intention of staying in his bed for sleeping. So technically I think we're right. He's not ready, but for safety we have to make the switch.

This week has been an experience, one lacking in sleep. It takes a good hour to two hours to get him to sleep. And so far we end up have to hold him down in bed until he nods off. Lots of sleep training ahead for us. And all to be done before little baby arrives. Yippee!
