Hello Gwynne!

She's here! Born a little after 9pm at our own home! (Not the plan mind you). But once she decided she was on her way she wasted no time and we didn't make it to the hospital.

Daddy delivered her and then the paramedics arrived and took Gwynne and myself to the hospital. Not even the hospital we had planned on. We're at Fair Oaks. Very nice, too.

They have wireless - yay!

We're all doing well. I finally delivered the placenta hours after Gwynne was born. We haven't gotten any great pics of Gwynne yet but will after her bath coming up at any moment.

Here is a shot soon after arriving at the hospital with our paramedic team. They were actually disappointed that Chris got to deliver Gwynne. They were hoping to do more. :-)
We are still in shock at how quick things progressed and tired of course. But I can't sleep yet. Gwynne is doing well - sleeping, eating and peeing.

Oh and the formalities:
Gwyneth Enora Sia
Born on 6/9/09 around 9pm.
7 pounds 2 oz
20 1/4 inches long

I'm so glad everyone is happy and healthy. That must have been a little scary - I can't imagine! I'm interested in hearing more about it. I have so many questions. Well, congrats and a safe/quick recovery to you :-)

Congratulations to everyone for the happy and safe birth of the newest member of your family.

I can tell you why the paramedics were disappointed. Chris stole all the thunder. Everyone in EMS wants to be able to deliever a baby in the field and well it doesn't happy that often. Heck i've been in EMS 17 years now and I haven't even done that. . . So Chris beat me on that one too!

Any hoos - congrats and I can't wait to meet this new little one!
